17. After You’ve Written The First Draft
A sense of dread may visit even the most experienced writer at the beginning of a new piece of writing. The earlier you start thinking about your essay topic, the sooner you’ll get into the right working mood, and you’ll have time to gather material. To begin, it is best to make a general outline of what you know about the topic and form an initial set of questions. An example of creating the first outline is shown below.
