Over the years I’ve coached many people in all phases of their career and what seems to help in getting a good picture of the types of jobs you like, is collecting all jobs that appeal.

No need to be harsh on yourself in this stage. Collect all job ads that mention something you relish, irrespective of the qualification needed, the required years of experience, or the compulsory skills. Once you have a good collection, start sorting it and try to find the red thread. This will most likely give you an indication of what you value in your work environment.
