10 Simple Jobs with High Salaries

Some people have to work incredibly hard just to make a living. Fortunately, that is not always necessary.

When people are looking for a job, they attend exciting occupations with prospects for development and good pay. You can get a generous salary, a good benefits package, and everything you can dream of in a job that doesn’t require much effort or time. What’s more, not every job requires a master’s degree and decades of experience, but it also can be enjoyable.

If you play your cards right, you could end up with a pretty simple job that pays extremely well.

1. Massage therapist

Becoming a massage therapist does require some training, but the job itself is not very difficult. You will have plenty of options for work if you go the massage route. Mobile therapists can demand the big bucks for going to the client’s home, but those working in spas also get paid well.

2. Video game tester

How cool would it be if you could get paid for fooling around? Video game testers make good money by checking out the latest games before they’re available to the public.

While testing means you’ll be the one to find all the glitches in the system, it is still a pretty nice gig.

3. Private security

While security can be a very boring job, it is a high paying one and certainly qualifies as simple. For the most part, security guards watch monitors or patrol a specific route.

If trouble occurs, the security guard calls the police.

4. Personal shoppers

For anyone who enjoys shopping, working as a personal shopper is a fun, easy job. It also pays very nicely. Most personal shoppers have multiple clients, so income is limited only by your time.

5. Body part model

Even if you aren’t model material, one of your body parts may be. Hands, feet and legs are just a few of the body parts that are used to shoot ads and announcements. If you know how to play up your assets, body part modeling can be quite lucrative.

6. Power plant operator

Running a power plant may seem complicated, but it is surprisingly dull most of the time. The machinery does most of the work and the operator rarely has to do more than flip switches. Despite the simplicity, the job pays almost $75,000 a year.

7. Funeral service manager

Planning funerals is a lucrative job and one that is fairly repetitive after the first few. A funeral service manager is responsible for coordinating funeral homes and services for the final ceremonies performed for the deceased.

8. Court stenographer

Copying down other people’s words is not terribly difficult and it pays well. The best part of this job is that you don’t have to get up early, since most depositions take place early in the morning. In addition, stenographers can work harder if they want more money, but it’s not necessary.

9. Hair colorists

Despite a poor economy, hair colorists are still pulling in some pretty serious money. In fact, most do not even need to work more than a handful of days in a month. While there is certainly some training involved and mistakes can be pretty bad, the earnings are worth taking the time to learn to color hair correctly.

10. Dental hygienist

Most dentists have a dental hygienist to help out with the drudge work. While cleaning teeth is certainly not an exciting job, it is relatively simple and it pays very well. The hours tend to be flexible, so it is a good job for those who do not want to work full-time.

There are plenty of jobs that do not require long hours and hard work, yet pay well. The trick to making good money without working too hard is to find a job that clicks with you. If you enjoy what you do, you will find it easier.

Of course, that does not mean you can’t put up with some boredom in order to increase your bank account. In the end, it is up to you to choose whether you value money or fun more.
